Compact Tealwood surprisingly spacious
   The Tealwood is a compact home with a surprisingly spacious feel. This plan is designed to fit on a small lot, with room to spare. And its footprint is almost square: 47 by 50. When it comes to maintenance and energy efficiency, the absence of angles and rambling exterior walls is a definite plus. Its owners can expect to see lower than average utility bills as a result, both summer and winter.
   A covered porch and an impressive array of sparkling windows grace the front fa�ade. Then the porch goes on to wrap around the side. Inside, the combination living room and dining room is awash in natural light, gently muted by the porch overhang.
   The kitchen fills more than a quarter of this large, open gathering space. Nothing more than a work island with a raised eating bar separates the areas. People working in the kitchen need never feel left out of conversations or activities elsewhere in the room. Standing at the kitchen sink, one can also keep an eye on the side porch, and enjoy watching the seasons cycle through their changes.
