Large Gathering Spaces Open to Kitchen
   Looking for a large home with a broad spectrum of gathering spaces and private rooms? Check out the Ramsbury. Stone veneer wainscoting and variously sized and shaped multipaned windows give this traditional ranch-style home a distinctively European flavor. Its lofty covered porch extends a regal welcome.
   Muted sunlight spills into the high-ceilinged foyer through sidelights and a half-round transom. Slender arched openings to the right and left lead into the bedroom wing and vaulted den, respectively.
   After walking through the wider center arch, you pass by another set of opposing arches before the hallway opens out into an expansive great room. The right hand arch links to the kitchen, while the one on the left leads to the luxurious owners’ suite.
   Great room, dining room and kitchen all flow together quite organically. A gas fireplace fills the great room’s rear corner, and wide windows fill most of its two exterior walls. The dining room is richly glassed as well, with windows on three sides. Two of those window sets are actually sliding glass doors. One set leads to a partially covered deck and the other to a partially covered patio.
   Counters line four sides of the Ramsbury’s unique five-sided kitchen, plus three sides of the large, central work island. An extra-large walk-in pantry fills one corner, and a long, raised eating bar bounds the dining room edge.
   The owners’ suite fills a wing to the left. Three more bedrooms, a two-section bathroom, and a large utility room are on the right, linked to a three-car garage with ample storage. Owners’ suite amenities include a deep walk-in closet, posh bathroom, and adjoining vaulted den.
   The large recreation room that caps the garage has dormer windows and a bathroom.
