Craftsman home plans. One wide gathering space fills most of the main floor of this Craftsman cottage home plan. Guests will enjoy hanging out at the long eating/conversation bar that marks the juncture of the dining area and kitchen. A spacious bonus room over the garage could be furnished as a home office, art studio or you name it.

Craftsman Cottage with Large Bonus Room
   Decorative corbels accent the Elmdale's front-facing gable peaks, while variously sized Craftsman windows sparkle across the front facade. Tapered columns, seated on stone veneer bases, support and frame a nostalgic front porch, large enough to hold an old-fashioned porch swing or a set of wicker furniture.
   This mid-size, three-bedroom Craftsman cottage is equally well-suited for construction as a vacation getaway or a year-round residence. It has a spacious bonus room over the garage that could be used for storage, or developed as a home office, art studio, music rehearsal space, or you name it.
   One long gathering space fills most of the main floor. The foyer is open to the living room, which flows into a dining area with a wide window bay at the side. Sliding glass doors there provide easy access to a covered patio supported by slender posts with raised trim at top and bottom.
   A long eating/conversation bar marks the juncture of the dining area and kitchen. Guests will enjoy hanging out here, chatting with the kitchen crew while they perform their culinary magic. Storage is plentiful. Cabinets fill the space over the counter, and wrap around to fill the opposite wall as well. A pantry adds even more cupboard capacity.
   Laundry appliances and a powder room are off to the right, flanking the passageway that links the kitchen to the garage.
   Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are upstairs, along with the bonus room and several storage closets. The owners' suite has a roomy walk-in closet and a private, two-section bathroom.
   Light spills into the Elmdale's bonus room through windows on three sides. The space is accessible from the second floor and has a covered exterior entry as well.
