Ranch home plans. Craftsman-inspired, this ranch-style home plan is a contemporary plan with a nostalgic flavor. In the vaulted great room, tall windows flank a gas fireplace. Its dancing flames can be enjoyed while standing at the kitchen sink, where you could also be chatting with folks at the eating bar or in the great room and nook.

Clean lined charm on ranch-style Windsor
   A stepped brick wainscot and matched trios of slender wooden posts emphasize the clean, contemporary lines of the ranch-style Windsor. The entire post and base feature, along with interesting window treatments and projected gable end detail, gives the home a beguiling Craftsman flavor. Because it's all on one level and has wide hallways, this home could become fully wheelchair accessible with only minor alterations.
   In this plan, good things come in threes. In addition to the triple posts out front, it has a three-car garage, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms. It even has three window sets framing the entry, in the form of sidelights and a transom. Inside, this makes for a naturally bright entry.
   Double doors on the right open into a vaulted office, while a wide arched opening on the left leads into a room that could be furnished as either a parlor or a formal dining room. Further down the entry hall, a narrower arched opening marks a junction similar to a four-way stop. Three more arched openings there head in three more directions: forward into the vaulted great room, right to secondary bedrooms and main bathroom, and left to the kitchen, utilities, garage, and owners' suite.
   In the vaulted great room, tall windows flank a gas fireplace that creates a colorful focal point when flames are dancing within. Standing at the kitchen sink, you can enjoy watching a fire, talk with folks at the eating bar or in the great room and nook, or keep an eye on the patio. Part of the Windsor's patio is covered and could be screened.
   The luxurious owners' suite also has patio access, along with a deep soaking tub, large walk-in closet, dual vanity, and separately enclosed toilet/shower.
