Glenview ideal as vacation retreat home
   Most homes have group living areas on the main floor, but the Glenview�s generously windowed family gathering spaces are on the upper level. The footprint of this Florida-inspired contemporary vacation home is a mere 31� x 50�, allowing it to fit neatly on a narrow lot.
   It�s possible to enter the house through the ground level den. But most will likely climb the steps to the covered porch on the second level, where the entry leads into the living room. Inside, a handy coat closet is just around the corner.
   A stepped ceiling helps define the living room, which is brightened by a wide window on one side. The gas fireplace that nestles into an alcove on the opposite side of the room offers color and warmth on dark, chilly days and nights.
   At the far end of this wide open space are the dining area and kitchen. Light spills into the corner dining room through windows on two sides. Standing at the kitchen sink, you can gaze outside while keeping an eye on the living and dining areas and chatting with whoever is seated at the conversation bar in front of you.
   A good sized utility room and a powder room are both nearby. The owners� suite is also on this level. Its notable features include a roomy walk-in closet, two shelved alcoves, and a large shower.
   The third bathroom is downstairs, and has direct access to the Glenview�s second bedroom. This bathroom has a tub. A second gas fireplace is in the den, directly below the upper fireplace. This room has two counters with cabinets above and below, plus a second refrigerator. It could be used as an office, art studio, guest bedroom, or whatever suits.
