   If you’re looking for a charming, modestly sized family home, check out the Russellville. This single-level Craftsman cottage is only 41 feet wide, yet its vaulted family gathering area is refreshingly bright and spacious.
   Shake-textured siding fills the upper triangles of the three variously sized gables that line up along the right. In characteristically Craftsman style, a decorative corbel accents the apex of each. Multipaned uppers highlight the gently arched front window.
   Entering, you step into a 12-foot-high entry bathed in muted light that spills in through a sidelight, transom, and small panes in the upper door. An opening on the right leads to the main bathroom and secondary bedrooms.
   Just past the bedroom arch in the entry hall, an arch with shelves above leads to a small art gallery. Display shelves line the left, and a much narrower art niche fills the right. The coat closet is directly ahead, on the other side of the next arch. The utility room and garage are also accessible from here.
   Light spills into the kitchen through a large skylight and a window that fronts the sink. A roomy pantry fills one corner. A raised eating bar rims the wide cook-top island that provides partial separation between the kitchen and the rest of the expansive vaulted living area. This makes it easy to keep your eye on everything while you cook, including dancing flames in the Russellville’s gas fireplace, and activities on the patio outside.
   The owners’ suite is also vaulted. It boasts an exceptionally deep walk-in closet and a bathroom with a double vanity and spa tub. Shower and toilet are enclosed for privacy and steam containment. An arched transom crowns sliding doors that offer direct patio access.
