Vacation Home Plans

Vacation homes can vary a lot, in both size and in function. Some may want a getaway to the beach or lake and some might want a mountain lodge.  Some may want a larger vacation home to host a large extended family, and some might want a smaller quieter escape.
 
Great rooms are a common central design piece of a vacation home. A great room is a perfect way to pull entrances to bedrooms, decks, kitchens and more off of a central focus. Conversation bars, or breakfast bars are a common feature in vacation home kitchens. Meant to take the formalities out of dining, most vacation kitchens are a place for larger families to congregate for far less formal meals.
 
Some vacation home plans can align with house plans that incorporate views. Maybe the lot that you have for your vacation home has sweeping views, or is lakeside, so your house plans should incorporate a way to best admire the splendor. A lot of vacation homes incorporate French doors leading out onto decks, or master bedrooms with private decks to take advantage of 360 views.
 
Multi-purpose lofts are a common find in vacation home plans, as they can be used for an additional living room function in addition to a sleeping area for guests.
