Spanish Style House Plan - Santa Ana 11-148 - Floor Plan
Arches, windows brighten Santa Ana
Gently curved arches highlight wide banks of multipaned windows that sparkle across all sides of the Spanish-style Santa Ana. Stucco detailing accentuates the lofty arched entry portico, along with the rest of the exterior.
Entering through the double front doors, first appreciate the art niche directly ahead. Then you can chose to go left, right, or forward. Bedrooms, bathrooms and utilities fill the wings. Light washes into the hallways through wide multipaned windows.
The opening in front of you leads into the expansive vaulted great room. A quick jog to the right is another way into the great room, via the kitchen.
Banks of windows, stacked two high, fill most of the rear walls in the vaulted hexagonal great room at the heart of this midsize plan. During daylight hours, natural light here is nearly as bright as outside. Sliding doors in the central rear wall segment offer ready access to cooling breezes, plus a patio that wraps across the entire back of the home. A fireplace nestles into a quiet corner away from the windows.
The kitchen shares the vaulted ceiling and natural light of the great room, but is partially separated. A wood-capped pony wall runs along an angled counter on the left, while a raised eating bar rims the sink/dishwasher peninsula on the right.
Filling the entire left wing, the owners’ suite is well isolated from the main living area. Amenities include a vaulted sleeping area with patio access, a roomy walk-in closet, and a private bathroom with a dual vanity and enclosed toilet. Laundry appliances are tucked away in the hallway to the suite.
Secondary bedrooms share two more bathrooms in the Santa Ana’s right wing.
